The Mays is now accepting submissions across poetry, prose and visual arts, as well as our new category cineMAYS. CineMAYS is accepting submissions for any type of visual storytelling, including short films, comics, graphic novels and recordings of performance art or theatre.

To submit, send your work in an email to mays@varsity.co.uk, with the relevant section in the subject line; for example ‘Poetry’.

Submissions to be no longer than 1000 words or 108 lines, and must be sent before 31st March. Submissions for cineMAYS are open until May 1st and any videos should be submitted as private Vimeo or Youtube links. A total of three submissions may be sent.

You should receive an acknowledgement within a day or two – if this doesn’t come, please do get in touch to make sure that your submission has made its way through.
